The City of Rome Cemetery Department has 2 crews of inmates. One crew is responsible for Myrtle Hill, Oak Hill and Hebrew cemeteries. The other crew is responsible for East View and Oakland Cemeteries. I have 2 POST Certified Corrections Officers on my staff. Jody Gonzales, Assistant Director and myself are 20 hour certified and can work up to 2 minimum classed inmates if necessary. A POST Certified Guard has to be on duty for us to work them. These inmates do a very good job for us. We respect them and they respect us.
